What it is

A cannula is the small tube a nurse places in a vein so fluids and medicine can go in. This listing covers the two sizes at each end of the range. 16G grey is 1.70 mm wide and is for high flow use in adults. 24G yellow is 0.70 mm wide and is for paediatric and geriatric patients.

Both have winged tabs to hold the cannula steady and an injection port valve for extra medicine. The needle is ultra sharp and bevelled. The cannula tube is PTFE and kink resistant. The clear flashback chamber shows blood return.

Each piece is sterile, single use and blister packed on its own. It is EO sterilised.
