A transfusion set is the tubing that carries blood from the bag to the patient. This is an economy set for gravity fed transfusion. The spike is non vented and made for plastic bags.
The drip chamber holds a 200 micron blood filter. A precision roller clamp sets the flow. The tubing is 150 cm long and kink resistant. It ends in a luer slip or luer lock with an 18G needle. The drop factor is 20 drops per ml.
There is a latex flush ball injection site on the line. The set is sterile, single use and EO sterilised.
